Canada Day is about to light up London!

We are just a week away from Canada's 149th birthday, and we can't think of a better reason to get excited about the sesquicentennial!

Did you know that each year on July 1st, London, Ontario is home to numerous large-scale Canada Day events, all open to the public? No matter which neighbourhood you live in, there is  likely a Canada Day celebration just around your corner. Check out our listing of some of London's local July 1st festivities to determine which one(s) you wish to attend this year. Look for the fireworks icon on the bottom of each listing to see which sites offer a fireworks display at dusk.

If you attend a Canada Day celebration in London next week, keep your eyes peeled for the Canada 150 London booth, where our lively volunteers will be handing out goodies, offering photo ops, and letting you know a bit about what London has in store for 2017!

Like many communities across the nation, London, Ontario will celebrate 2017 in true Canadian style: with 12 months of programming dedicated to the commemoration of Canadian identity, and all of the wonderful citizens that contribute to Canada each and every day. For updates, information, or other resources, visit www.londoncelebrates.ca, 'Like' Canada 150 London on Facebook, follow @Canada150London on Instagram and Twitter, or connect with the coordinator at canada150@london.ca.
