Celebrating the sesquicentennial in London, Ontario
In 2017, Canada celebrated the 150th anniversary of confederation. During this historic year, Canadians from coast-to-coast will join friends, neighbours, and families to honour our great country, its diverse people, stunning geography, and unique culture in meaningful ways.
Like those in communities across our nation, Londoners joined the celebration. 2017 was an an exciting year of events, commemorations, celebrations, dedications, legacies, and experiences that underlined the incredible pride we all share for our homeland.
We hope that you enjoyed 2017, and we will see you in 2067 for one more (of many) national milestones!

Canada 150 London was an exciting initiative with one simple goal: to help Londoners celebrate Canada in 2017! This joint initiative is steered by the City of London Culture Office, London Celebrates Canada, and London Heritage Council. Together with the sector-based efforts of the Canada 150 London Programming Committee, these partners engaged the community throughout Canada's sesquicentennial year with education programs, activities, events, exhibitions, and premiere Canada Day celebrations, to instill pride and commitment to Canada on both an individual and community level.
